We are looking for an additional Kitchen Assistant to join our hardworking catering team on a zero-hour bank contract. You will be assisting the Head Chef in providing a high-quality catering service to approximately 60 residents, plus guests and visitors of Lincoln House care home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, cooking and attractive presentation of all meals.
- Prepare simple meals i.e., vegetables and salad items for service.
- Prepare ancillary items for service such as bread, snacks and soft drinks.
- Provide regular interaction with residents to gain feedback regarding the service the catering team is providing.
- Prepare and deliver beverage/food trolleys for the residents between meals.
- Ensure the smooth transfer of supplies, goods and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Ensure the safe operation of all kitchen equipment in accordance with the appliance instructions and company policies and procedures.
