We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Care Assistant to join a friendly and hard-working team, providing high quality care.
Contracts: Dayshift and Nightshift position available, part-time, and bank contracts available. Working patterns are arranged according to individual availability and service requirements and weekend working is essential. Dayshift hours are 8am to 8pm and nightshift hours are 8pm to 8am.
DUTIES
- Providing high quality, person-centred care
- Take responsibility for planning and managing your own time
- Communicate positively with elderly and vulnerable residents, and their families
- Help people take part in activities and build positive and respectful relationships with the people that we support and their families
- Communicate effectively with relatives, colleagues and other professionals
- Work safely, professionally and confidentially
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- Be willing to complete SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care
- Register with the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC), or be willing to apply for registration within three months of starting employment
DESIRABLE
- Ability to engage professionally and compassionately with elderly and vulnerable people and their families
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to work independently, using initiative and work as part of a team
- Completing online training, with support provided where needed
The successful applicant must be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme before carrying out the role.
