We are hiring a FinCrime Lead to work directly with our founders and build our financial crime product function from the ground up. You will lead a crossâfunctional product team focused on fraud prevention, AML/CTF, and transaction monitoring, delivering measurable impact through smart, dataâdriven analyses.
You will thrive in this role if you love solving complex problems, can translate regulatory and operational needs into product solutions, and enjoy working at the intersection of product, data science, and engineering.
What Youâll Be Doing
- Own the product vision and roadmap for fraud detection, AML, and transaction monitoring.
- Lead a team of engineers and data scientists to design, deliver, and refine detection models, rule sets, and monitoring systems.
- Define and track KPIs like true positive rate, false positive rate, and timeâtoâdetection.
- Turn fraud patterns, typologies, and compliance requirements into clear product specifications.
- Continuously improve our detection capabilities based on realâworld incident feedback and evolving threats.
What youâll need
- Proven product experience in fintech, payments, or fraud/financial crime prevention.
- Strong track record delivering dataâdriven products with engineering and analytics teams.
- Analytical mindset; comfortable interpreting model performance metrics.
- Ability to balance risk prevention with great customer experience.
- Comfortable working directly with founders in a fastâpaced startup.
