Senior Applications Support Officer
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office per week)
Are you an experienced ICT professional looking to take the lead on critical business systems and applications? We’re looking for a Senior Applications Support Officer to play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance, integration, and reliability of our systems and software applications.
In this role, you’ll act as the technical escalation point for complex system issues, working closely with colleagues and external providers to ensure efficient and timely resolution. You\’ll drive a culture of continuous improvement and support the delivery of system upgrades and enhancements across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level technical support for core business systems, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and within SLA timeframes.
- Act as a key point of contact for 2nd and 3rd line support relating to software applications and integrations.
- Support the planning and execution of system upgrades, patches, and bug fixes.
- Ensure robust testing, change control, and documentation are in place for all system changes.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers for system support and escalate issues where necessary.
- Contribute to a continuous improvement culture by identifying opportunities to optimise existing systems and processes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience in ICT service management and systems support (2nd and 3rd line).
- Proven track record of resolving complex software and integration issues.
- Knowledge of ITIL service management practices.
- Hands-on experience with maintaining and supporting housing or business-critical systems (experience with NEC Housing Management System is a plus).
- Ability to coordinate upgrades, test plans, and manage system changes effectively.
- A proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
