Recovery Operating Department Practitioner

Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to be working with an established private hospital based in Central London. Our client is seeking an experienced Recovery Operating Department Practitioner to join their perioperative team, delivering high-quality patient care through all stages of recovery. You’ll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide safe, compassionate, and efficient post-operative care.

• Permanent Role
• Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits
• Full time – 37.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri)

Role Duties

• Deliver safe, effective recovery care for post-op patients
• Monitor, assess, and support patients through recovery and discharge
• Assist anaesthetists and surgical teams during post-op care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped recovery environment
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the process
• Contribute to quality improvement and uphold infection control standards

Role Requirements

• Must be HCPC Registered ODP
• Minimum 2 years’ recovery / theatre experience (private healthcare desirable)
• Experience within Orthopaedics or Plastic surgery (Desirable)
• ILS / ALS certification (preferred)
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
