Castlefield Recruitment are partnering with a highly regarded Private Medical Centre, based in Central London, for the recruitment of a Pharmacy Technician. Our client is seeking a Pharmacy Technician with experience within outpatients, acute, primary care or hospital setting, ideally with procurement experience.
Permanent Role
- Salary: Up to Β£35,000
- Excellent employee benefits package
- Full-time: 40 hours per week 9am to 6pm (1 hour break)
- Monday to Friday only
The post holder will be expected to:
- Provide a responsive and efficient pharmacist service to meet the needs of the business
- Support their team and wider department to achieve the values in their day-to-day work
- Use their reasoning, intellect, and judgement to work on their own initiative to deal with matters on behalf of their manager/management team
- Be an effective decision maker, who is able to prioritise their own workload whilst responding to interruptions
- Be able to deal with unpredictable work patterns and proactively deal with issues
Job Summary
The post holder will assist in the provision of a safe and efficient patient focused clinical pharmacy service based in the dispensary. Support the Superintendent Pharmacist by working within the team to deliver a robust and efficient pharmacy service to include dispensing services, procurement for the pharmacy, and the supply of medicines to clinical areas and medicines management as necessary. Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective medicines supply. Liaise with external stakeholders regarding medication supply issues or shortages, and to liaise with Procurement and the Pharmacy team when shortages have been highlighted as necessary. The post holder will work in conjunction with the Superintendent Pharmacist to manage and coordinate workflow in the pharmacy, supporting the monitoring of the quality of service provided and to actively promote the implementation of important initiatives for services.
Person Requirements:
- Essential:
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent including Maths and English
- BTEC or NVQ level 3 in pharmaceutical services or equivalent
- Two years + experience in working in a dispensary including procurement and dispensing
- Desirable:
- Experience of working in a hospital or medical centre dispensary
- Accredited Checking Technician
- Medicines Optimisation Qualification
