We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety Specialist to support the development, promotion, and implementation of the Trust’s Patient Safety Strategy and the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF). The role adopts a train, coach, and support approach, providing senior leadership and expert advice to the Trust on patient safety matters, in alignment with the National Patient Safety Strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working collaboratively across the Trust to support staff and patient partners in the use of PSIRF tools.
- Championing a “Being Fair” culture and using learning to drive organisational improvement through PSIRF methodology.
- Building on the foundations of patient safety to embed the Trust’s approach to the PSIRF.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure patient safety initiatives are guided by the core principles of insight, involvement, and improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in patient safety within a healthcare setting.
- Previous NHS experience preferred.
- Relevant professional qualifications in healthcare or patient safety.
- Be able to start in Nov/Dec 2025.
