Client: Castlefield Recruitment are working with a North West based Housing Association in order to recruit a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. This role offers a salary of £65,000 - £70,000 dependant on candidates experience and hybrid working (3 days per week onsite).
Duties include:
- Manage the workload and performance of the core finance team to ensure all internal and external reporting deadlines are met
- Review and authorise all outgoing payments, including leases, treasury movements and supplier payment runs
- Review and approve payroll reports prepared by the payroll bureau and authorise payments to employees
- Review all balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, identifying any adjustments required and calculating any partial exemption VAT recovery
- Review cashflow forecasts prepared by the Treasury & Leases Accountant and ensure any required changes are processed
- Support the subsidiary finance team in delivering all required reporting to the group parent
- Work with the Management & Service Charge Accountant and Finance Director to complete consolidated financial information for the group
- Review the draft management accounts including all associated commentary and submit the final pack to the Finance Director for review
Person:
- Minimum two years’ experience managing a professional finance team at Finance Manager/Financial Controller level
- Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements
- Accounting qualification essential
