Job Description
Castlefield Recruitment is working in partnership with an Independent Healthcare Provider who are delivering high-quality diagnostic services to local health services.
We are supporting exclusively with the recruitment of an experienced Locum Mammographer to join their team. This is a full-time locum role, working standard office hours Monday to Friday, with no weekend commitments required.
You will be involved in providing high-quality imaging for both symptomatic patients and routine screening, and will assist with ultrasound and biopsy procedures in a modern, well-equipped department.

£45 – £50 per hour (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-standard mammographic imaging for general screening and symptomatic patients
- Operate Hologic and Biotronics mammography systems with confidence and precision
- Assist radiologists and clinicians with ultrasound-guided procedures and breast biopsies
- Provide professional and compassionate care, ensuring patient dignity and comfort at all times
- Accurately document all imaging procedures in accordance with trust and national guidelines
- Support the diagnostics team with workflow management and patient coordination
Requirements:
- HCPC-registered Radiographer with postgraduate qualification or certificate in Mammography
- Minimum 2 years of experience in breast imaging, including symptomatic and screening work
- Experience assisting with ultrasound and biopsy procedures (preferred, but training may be offered)
- Proficiency with Hologic and/or Biotronics systems
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centred approach
- Full right to work in the UK
