Overview
Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a well established Yorkshire based Housing Association who are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant into the team on a permanent basis. This will offer excellent benefits such as predominantly remote working, and a salary of £50,000 - £52,000 depending on candidates' experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for housing portfolios, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and sector-specific requirements.
- Assist in the management of rent accounting, service charges, and grant funding, ensuring income is correctly recorded and reconciled.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and audit preparation.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support investment decisions, development projects, and asset management within the housing sector.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and local authorities, to ensure robust financial control and governance.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly translate complex financial information for non-finance staff.
- Full professional accounting qualification is essential.
- Experience of managing and developing staff is desirable.
