Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a progressive public sector organisation who are looking to identify a Lead Financial Accountant to join their Corporate Finance Team on a permanent basis. The Lead Financial Accountant will work closely with the Head of Finance and will be responsible for providing high quality financial and corporate accounting services.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical accountancy lead supporting the Head of Finance
- Lead on the core aspects of the organisation's accountancy functions, including statement of accounts production, closedown and budget setting processes
- Lead on the production of financial reporting to officers and members
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure a robust financial control environment and that financial risk is understood
- Identify and implement financial control improvements
- Manage and develop the Finance team
Qualifications
- CCAB/CIMA qualified Finance professional with post‑qualification experience and evidence of continuing personal development
- Public sector finance experience
