Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting an Income Officer for a housing association based in Manchester. The role is on an initial 3 month contract. The role offers flexible working hours and pays £22 - £25 an hour via umbrella agency.
The role:
- Deliver a comprehensive rent collection service by monitoring a case load of rent accounts for customers in arrears.
- Managing the arrears process in compliance with group Policies and procedures.
- Visiting customers in their homes with the Housing Officers to be a visual point of contact for Rent issues.
- Ensure that appropriate legal action is taken to recover debt.
- Engaging with external agencies, e.g. local authorities, Department for Works and Pensions, when required.
The person:
- Experience of income management or debt recovery in a social housing environment.
- Knowledge of welfare benefits.
- Excellent customer service skills.
