We are seeking an experienced Social Media Manager who can jump straight in, creating compelling content, overseeing campaigns, and analysing engagement across multiple platforms.
About the Role
Working closely with the Communications Lead and Press Officer, you will take the lead on planning and delivering engaging social media activity. This will include managing seasonal campaigns and supporting key community and charity events.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing social media strategies and campaigns
- Writing creative, engaging copy tailored for each platform
- Producing standout visual content, including graphics, photos, and videos
- Managing day-to-day social media activity across Facebook, Instagram, and X
- Creating and scheduling content calendars to ensure consistent communication
- Covering live events and telling engaging stories that connect with local audiences
- Monitoring social media channels for engagement, comments, and messages
- Tracking performance metrics and providing insights and recommendations
About You
You are a confident and creative communicator who can think strategically while delivering quality content under pressure. You will have:
- Proven experience managing social media for an organisation, brand, or campaign
- Strong copywriting and storytelling skills
- Experience using design and video editing tools (for example, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CapCut)
- A solid understanding of social media analytics and performance reporting
