Castlefield are working with a public sector organisation to recruit an Adult Skills Fund Lead.
Responsibilities
- Build upon the “readiness” work already done by the organisation which will include finalising the Adult Skills Fund Strategic Skills Plan, further developing and finalising eligibility and funding rules, provider management processes, commissioning processes, audit and assurance framework, payment process and MIS systems.
- Ensure the organisation has all the relevant systems, processes and resources in place to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of the Adult Skills Fund from August 2026.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, ensuring the organisation’s reputation and capability and building upon the excellent stakeholder relationships already developed through the development of the Adult Skills Fund Strategic Skills Plan.
- Act as the organisation's liaison with the Department for Education on all matters relating to the Adult Skills Fund.
- Work with training providers, businesses and partner organisations at Senior Management and Chief Executive level to ensure they maximise their contribution to a genuinely collaborative approach to growing and developing the sector.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of managing and administering Adults Skills Funding / Adult Education Budget at a senior level.
- Detailed understanding of the technicalities of Adult Skills Funding including eligibility & funding rules, ILR, provider management, audit and assurance, quality assurance, commissioning, procurement, contracting and funding, payments and data collection & reporting.
- Experience of stakeholder engagement and working in complex political environment.
