Castlefield Recruitment is currently partnering with a Local Authority in the North West who are looking for a Financial Planning specialist to join their team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone well-versed in Local Government financial planning to join a team during an exciting period of transformation.

Duties include:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS), aligning with corporate objectives and service plans.
  • Provide high-quality financial advice to senior management, elected members, and stakeholders to inform policy decisions.
  • Monitor and assess the financial implications of government policy, funding changes, and economic trends.
  • Lead on the production of the Treasury Management Strategy, Annual Investment Strategy, and related reports.
  • Lead and develop a small team of finance professionals, promoting continuous improvement and professional development.
