Castlefield Recruitment are pleased to be partnering with a North West based not-for-profit organisation to appoint a Director of Finance on a permanent basis. As a vital member of the Leadership Team, the successful candidate will provide strategic direction across finance, corporate planning, treasury, risk, ICT, business intelligence and organisational change. The postholder will ensure the organisation has the systems, capacity and insight required to achieve its strategic objectives, protect long-term financial sustainability, and uphold robust regulatory compliance.
The role:
- Lead on financial strategy, long-term financial planning and stress testing to underpin the corporate plan.
- Oversee treasury activities, working with external advisers where appropriate.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with lenders, auditors, regulators and professional bodies.
- Ensure sound management of capital and revenue budgets, cashflow and financial controls.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including the preparation and submission of accurate and timely regulatory returns.
- Shape and deliver the organisation’s data strategy, enabling high-quality insight, performance reporting and customer intelligence to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Champion value for money, continuous improvement and operational effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of high performance, accountability, inclusion and customer focus.
The person:
- Professionally qualified accountant (e.g., CIPFA, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA).
- Demonstrable commitment to ongoing professional and leadership development.
- Significant expertise in financial management, treasury and risk.
