We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specialising in Endoscopy (Related experience considered) to join our client’s healthcare team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care during endoscopic procedures. This position requires a good understanding of this service and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Job Type: Permanent Contract
Hours of Work: Full time (5 days) or Part Time (2.5 days per week) both considered (38 hours a week FTE) - Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:00
Salary range: £33,592 to £37,544 per annum

Duties
- Deliver Safe, Evidence-Based Care: Provide high-quality, patient-focused care in a diagnostic Endoscopy Unit, adhering to local and national standards (e.g., JAG).
- Clinical Procedure Support: Assist with endoscopic procedures and the decontamination of equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Care Planning & Accountability: Assess, plan, implement care, and maintain autonomous practice responsibility.
- Leadership Support: Take charge of the unit in the absence of the Lead Nurse, offering clinical guidance and ensuring use of evidence-based practices.
- Quality Improvement: Promote continuous improvement by evaluating care standards and leading changes in nursing development.
- Professional Development: Maintain personal skills, knowledge, and a professional portfolio in line with NMC revalidation.
- Policy Development: Contribute to creating and reviewing nursing care pathways, infection control policies, and unit strategies under the Lead Nurse's guidance.
- Health & Safety: Assist in implementing and reviewing health, safety, and security procedures for staff and patients.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate clinical records, manage medical supplies, support cross-site services, and participate in unit meetings.
Experience
- Essential:
- NMC registered nurse
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Basic IT skills and ability to work with online programmes
- Good time management skills
- Have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- To be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of working within an endoscopy unit
- To have Preparation for mentorship course (ENB998) or equivalent
