eCommerce Quality Assurance Tester 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract Full Time – 38 Hours per Week Hybrid / Preston Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum Interviews: Week Commencing 19th May

I’m working with a long-established, award-winning retail client who is currently looking for an eCommerce Quality Assurance Tester to join their digital product team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to support a major eCommerce re-platforming project, alongside other digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality customer experiences across their online platforms by executing comprehensive test plans and supporting product releases. While the role is office-based near Preston, there is flexibility for some remote working. Specific arrangements can be discussed at interview.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute detailed test cases for new releases
  • Collaborate with the Test Lead on structured test plans
  • Interpret business requirements to ensure solution alignment
  • Conduct UAT and support testing during pre- and post-release
  • Maintain and improve regression and campaign testing processes
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and third-party partners
  • Ensure customer experience remains a key focus throughout testing
Candidate Profile:
  • Essential: Proven experience in software testing within an eCommerce environment
  • Strong knowledge of QA and UAT processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Highly organised, proactive, and collaborative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Genuine interest in digital products and user experience
  • Desirable: Familiarity with CommerceTools or similar platforms
  • Experience working with microservices and tools such as JIRA
  • Automation testing knowledge
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. ISTQB or equivalent)
