Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a progressive public sector organisation who are looking to identify a Finance Manager to join their Corporate Finance Team on a permanent basis. The Finance Manager will report to and work closely with the Director of Finance and will be responsible for providing high quality financial and corporate accounting services.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as the technical accountancy lead supporting the Deputy Director of Finance
- Leading on the core aspects of the organisation's accountancy functions including the statement of accounts production, closedown and budget setting processes
- Leading on the production of financial reporting to officers and members
- Working with key stakeholders to ensure a robust financial control environment, and ensure financial risk is understood
- Identifying and implementing financial control improvements
- Management and development of small Finance team
The successful candidate:
- CCAB/CIMA qualified Finance professional with post qualification experience and evidence of continuing personal development
- Public sector finance experience
