Stoke-on-Trent City Council is undergoing an ambitious transformation, driving innovation across services and investing in the city’s future. As part of this journey, we are partnering with Castlefield Recruitment to expand our finance team and seek talented, motivated individuals to help shape the next chapter of our success.
The Accountant / Finance Business Partner post will work within a commercially focused team to provide financial advice and support across dedicated directorates and transformational projects across the Council.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality, efficient financial, accounting and budgeting services to support the Council and key service areas
- Supporting with and leading on the delivery of medium-term financial planning
- Providing strategic analysis and financial advice to stakeholders across the Council
- Producing and presenting monthly management accounts, identifying key trends and making recommendations
- Supporting the delivery of an integrated, robust financial planning process
The successful candidate:
- Strong business partnering skillset with the ability to build influential relationships with non-finance
