Midday Assistant - Castledon, Canvey
Required: As Soon As Possible
5 hours per week, term time only
Monday to Friday, 12.00pm - 1pm
Scale 2, point 4-5
Actual Annual Salary £2,939 - £2,986
Castledon School is part of the Zenith Multi Academy Trust and is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and capable midday assistant for our site on Canvey Island, who will have a positive impact on the learners within the academy and understand their individual needs.
Suitable candidates will need to be able to work as part of a team and be able to liaise with other members of staff. Main duties include:
- Supervision of dining hall to keep it safe and orderly
- Helping children in difficulty e.g. spills, tricky packaging
- Social interaction and encouraging pro social behaviour
- Playground duty after lunch
- Clearing up the hall
- Cleaning tables/chairs before storing away
- First aid (once trained)
- Supporting children with putting away equipment

Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent
