The Role: Reporting to the General Manager and the Central Sales Business Development Manager, the Meetings & Events Sales Executive will deliver true hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guest’s expectations. They use their personality to influence and confirm meetings and events, private dining and restaurant events at the hotel. The Meetings & Events Sales Executive has a primary focus on driving revenue growth, maximising conversion rates, and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction with all events and meetings to attract new business opportunities and retain our existing clients. They personally manage all aspects of the enquiry, from phone call to proposal, show-rounds, confirmation, contracts, to billing, tracking and post event client feedback. The role will work closely with the operational and reservations departments at the hotel to ensure the smooth running and excellent delivery of all events. This role champions prompt enquiry responses, encourages upselling and cross selling, requires strong market knowledge, is actively involved in local networking events, and seeks new business opportunities to enhance the hotel and restaurant events profitability. The role is analytical and creative, creating memorable moments for our guests, fostering an empowered environment for the team whilst collaborating closely with their immediate line manager and key stakeholders, to deliver quality results. The Meetings & Events Sales Executive acts as an ambassador for the hotel and brand, reflecting the company culture and values. All work by this role is carried out in accordance with company corporate policies, procedures and service concepts. The Meetings & Events Sales Executive builds strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships, collaborate with operational departments to ensure seamless event execution, will promote the brand, and will assist the central sales and revenue teams with all aspects of revenue opportunities at the hotel including corporate bedrooms, groups and tours.
The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills and will be creative, dynamic and strategic in your approach. The candidate must exude great customer service skills, and have a natural passion and enthusiasm for events, sales and relationship building. The candidate will be professional, reliable, energised in their approach, highly organised, able to be self-motivated to deliver to deadline and to go above and beyond in all tasks. You will be a strong team player, be passionate, approachable, and have a can-do attitude. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with a proficiency in Microsoft Office are crucial to succeed in this dynamic and fast-paced environment. Experience in hotel and / or restaurant meetings and events sales, with a solid understanding of hotel PMS and CRM systems is beneficial but not essential. This is an on-site role, 5 days per week with occasional weekend and evening shifts required. All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
