Our client has an excellent career opportunity for a Client Advisor to join their Commercial Insurance Team based in Inverness with the option for hybrid working. The purpose of this role is to provide an exceptional service to clients and quality support to Client Executive. Specific duties include:

  • Working closely with the Client Executive with responsibility for the day-to-day servicing of client accounts.
  • Applying insurance knowledge & principles to day-to-day work queries.
  • Ability to apply standard policy wording, extensions and limitations.
  • General understanding of the underwriting, claims and broking processes.
  • Acting as a point of reference with insurers and dealing with negotiations.
  • Working to business operational standards, policy and processes.
  • Having awareness of the different distribution channels.
  • Building positive working relationships with internal colleagues and teams.
  • Using client applications as defined by the business including invoicing and data quality.
  • Maintaining own learning & CPD and a thorough understanding and application of the Client Journey.

Qualifications

  • Cert CII

Experience/skills

  • Excellent communication, administration and decision-making skills.
  • Sound technical knowledge of the insurance industry with reference to commercial insurance.
  • Ability to organise workflow, prioritising tasks and managing own time.
  • Confident in using Microsoft Suite.
  • Working knowledge of broking processes and regulatory standards.
  • Up to date knowledge of FCA compliance rules.
  • Competent user of insurance client system; Acturis and advantage.
  • Confident in both raising & receiving concerns & know how to appropriately escalate issues.
  • Engaging with other team members to achieve better customer outcomes.
  • Encouraging others to embrace an inclusive culture.
  • Considering the wider context of situations & dealing with any ambiguities.
  • Consistently role modelling professional principles, values & personal integrity in order to build trust.
