Our client is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to join their team in Inverness. This is a full time role although part time may also be considered with the pattern of working hours flexible to suit.

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to work with a very varied client base, with direct client communication and reporting to all levels of internal staff. The focus is exceptional service with an efficient, responsive, friendly, and detail orientated manner to deliver the best results for clients.

Duties include:

  • Varied bookkeeping duties including all sales and purchase ledger transactions and bank reconciliations.
  • Annual and periodic processing for VAT returns and accounts.
  • Use of financial software systems including Quickbooks and Sage.
  • Liaising with clients to ensure best practice.
  • Updating and maintaining accurate financial records and client information.
  • Operating within company procedures and statutory legislation.

Person specification:

  • Previous accounts/bookkeeping experience.
  • Experience with various software packages including MS Office and financial software systems.
  • Organised and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Practice experience beneficial.
