Details: Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Legal Secretary to join their team in Inverness. The successful applicant will undertake a busy and varied workload, working within a highly supportive team environment. Providing comprehensive secretarial support to Partners and Solicitors within the Commercial Team, specific duties include:

  • Typing a range of correspondence and documentation containing legal terminology.
  • Dealing with client enquiries face to face and by telephone.
  • Diary management, co-ordinating and setting up meetings.
  • Transcription of legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Dealing with email enquiries.
  • Liaising with a range of internal and external contacts.
  • Updating and managing client case files, opening and closing records accordingly.
  • Administration and secretarial duties including preparation of various legal forms and templates.
  • Filing, photocopying, scanning, and invoicing.

Person Specification:

  • Previous legal secretarial/administration experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also manage a busy personal workload.
  • Strong IT and administrative skills.
  • Polite telephone manner.
  • Calm under pressure with good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Capable of prioritising in order to work to deadlines.
  • An excellent knowledge of MS Office including Word, Outlook, etc.
