The predicted salary is between 42000 - 46000 £ per year.
The role will contribute towards ensuring a consistent approach to contract management, ensuring contractors uphold the required standards to ensure compliance and provision of high quality services and deliver services in line with key performance indicators. The role will also provide support and guidance to colleagues on contractor performance issues.
You will co-ordinate procurement activities within the department, ensuring adherence with policy and facilitating exercises via Public Contracts Scotland. This also includes working with colleagues to ensure continuous improvement of standard procurement documents and the development of future procurement plans.
The role includes a requirement to participate in the out-of-hours cover rota, providing support outside of normal working hours when required. This commitment is expected to be approximately three times per year and will be planned in advance wherever possible.
Requirements:
- A team player who enjoys working with colleagues to deliver the best possible outcomes.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a contracts management or procurement role within a public sector or property related environment, for example facilities management, housing, construction, property management, engineering or health and safety.
- Good working knowledge of procurement processes and legislation, utilising external portals such as Public Contracts Scotland, for tenders valued over £50k.
- Experience of managing contractors or subcontractors, including the use of key performance indicators.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft packages and the production of formal written specifications, demonstrating close attention to detail.
