Our client is looking to appoint a Payroll Officer to join their busy and expanding team. The purpose of the role is to ensure the accurate and timely processing and payment of client payrolls in accordance with all Statutory and Company Accounting Requirements.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing support and guidance on all Payroll and Payroll related matters.
- Input all necessary Payroll Data for Bank Details, Tax Codes, NI Letters, Court Orders, Student Loans, and Loans.
- Calculation and processing of Statutory payments.
- Review Payrolls to identify and correct errors and ensure the accuracy.
- Run and check the Net Pays and produce payslips and reports.
- Fully understand and implement Regulations affecting Payroll procedures.
- Assist with the Year End.
- Deal with client queries and written correspondence.
- Work closely with clients to ensure accurate payroll information is submitted in order to meet deadlines for processing.
- Auto-enrolment pension administration.
- Liaising with HMRC to resolve payroll queries.
Qualifications
- Previous payroll experience.
- Accounts/payroll qualification preferred (HND for example).
- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail in working towards deadlines.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively within a team.
