Details: Our client is looking to appoint an IT professional on a contract basis to oversee a project to implement and roll out a new bespoke system across multiple divisions. This is a varied and flexible project, expected to last approximately 12 months. The role is based in Inverness and offers hybrid working option and flexible hours.
Duties include:
- Lead the project from audit and initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and final closure.
- Initial audit and assessment - gain familiarity with the bespoke system as well as the structure and requirements of the business including the rollout carried out so far.
- Oversee implementation of the system across multiple divisions including manufacturing, warehouse, sales, logistics, administration and surveying.
- Identify and resolve problems with the implementation to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, creating detailed roadmaps and timelines.
- Liaise with various stakeholders including software providers and heads of department.
- Carry out staff training across multiple locations in the North of Scotland.
- Proactively identify technical and operational risks (e.g., system downtime, security threats) and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate departmental teams, assign tasks, and motivate staff to meet project milestones.

- Experience of IT system review and implementation across divisions/departments.
- Capable of learning a bespoke system quickly and efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver training to non-technical staff.
- Ability to manage internal and external relationships to maximise the efficiency of the project and meet deadlines.
