Responsibilities
- Varied bookkeeping and accounts preparation duties for clients ranging in size and sector.
- All sales and purchase ledger transactions and bank reconciliations.
- Annual and periodic processing of VAT returns and accounts.
- Use of financial software systems including Quickbooks and Sage.
- Liaising with clients to ensure best practice.
- Updating and maintaining accurate financial records and client information.
- Operating within company procedures and statutory legislation.
- Assisting with the preparation of tax returns.
Person specification / Qualifications
- Previous statutory accounts experience within an accountancy practice.
- Experience with various software packages including MS Office and financial software systems.
- Organised and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines.
