Role Overview Do you believe the right advice at the right time can completely change someones future? We are looking for a passionate and learner-focused Tutor/Assessor who understands the importance of delivering high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) that inspires confidence, raises aspirations and supports individuals into sustainable employment and further learning. In this role, you will provide engaging training, meaningful support and tailored guidance to learners from a variety of backgrounds, helping them identify their strengths, overcome barriers and achieve their personal and career goals. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive learning environment where every learner feels motivated, supported and empowered to succeed.

Part of your role will include: Delivering high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to support learners in making informed decisions about their learning, career progression and employment opportunities Supporting learners to identify individual goals, aspirations and progression routes through regular reviews and guidance sessions Delivering training and assessment on a range of short course qualifications up to Level 2 Delivering classroom-based employability programmes to unemployed learners Interpreting qualification knowledge requirements in ways that are accessible and engaging for learners at all levels Supporting learners to achieve their goals through encouragement, coaching and tailored learning support Demonstrating practical applications of vocational programmes within real workplace contexts Adapting and developing high-quality learning materials to meet individual learner needs Recording learner progress and providing constructive and continuous feedback throughout programmes Maintaining attendance records and updating tracking systems accurately Signposting learners to additional support services, progression opportunities, training pathways and employment options where appropriate Promoting equality, diversity, inclusion and positive learner wellbeing within the learning environment Sharing best practice and resources in training, learning and assessment with colleagues Participating in standardisation meetings and quality improvement activities Preparing, maintaining and monitoring training/workplace environments to meet Health and Safety requirements Ensuring compliance with all administrative and awarding body requirements Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to support the changing needs of the business

Skills/Behaviours: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Strong ability to build positive relationships and engage learners from diverse backgrounds Passionate about supporting learner progression and delivering outstanding learner experiences IT literate with the ability to use digital systems and learning platforms effectively Ability to work across all levels and adapt communication styles appropriately High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes Good organisational, time management and administrative skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Professional, approachable and learner-centred in attitude and practice

Knowledge / Experience: Must hold a teaching qualification/certificate Working towards or holding an A1/TAQA/D32/33 Assessor qualification Experience delivering training within educational or workplace environments Relevant industrial experience within warehouse and/or manufacturing/engineering sectors Experience delivering high-quality learner support, coaching or IAG services Understanding of learner progression pathways, employability skills and barriers to learning Flexible and adaptable approach to meet the demands and challenges of the role Demonstrates behaviours aligned to educational values and safeguarding principles Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement Experience delivering qualifications within relevant vocational sectors
