We are looking for someone to help with the day-to-day running of Castle Farm Vets branch in Barnard Castle, County Durham, to work alongside our experienced team of Farm Animal Vets, and support team.

About the role
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing the Receptionist team, including training and providing support and guidance
- Creating and managing the team rota
- Supporting with Recruitment and liaising with the internal recruitment team
Additional Day-to-day duties of the role will include:
- Answering phones and booking appointments
- Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
- Registering new clients
- Dispensing medications
- Taking payments
- And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice
What we\\\’re looking for in our Farm Veterinary Head Receptionist
- Knowledge of the agricultural sector
- SQP qualification (training could be provided for the suitable applicant)
- Leadership skills would be highly desirable
- Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
- An excellent communicator with strong empathy
- Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
