Join Our Team as a Veterinary Farm Practice Cleaner!
Role Details:
- Location: To be based at our Barnard Castle site - Montalbo Road, Barnard Castle, Co Durham, DL12 8ED
- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: 15 hours per week (3 hours per shift, over 5 days)
- Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, working either early shifts (05.30 - 08.30) or late shifts (17.00 - 20.00)
About the Role:
Day-to-day duties of the role will include:
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in our non-clinical areas of the practice, which includes reception, offices, bathrooms and staff rooms
- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Emptying bins
- Cleaning and disinfecting kitchen surfaces
- Dusting all surfaces
- Wiping down mirrors and glass surfaces
- Restocking supplies such as toilet paper and paper towels
- Cleaning windows
- Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms
Who We’re Looking For:
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role, experience with the veterinary or human health care sector would be ideal!
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and using cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Understanding of safe cleaning practices and appropriate use of cleaning materials
- Good awareness of health and safety, including safe disposal of waste
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and tasks consistently
