Overview

The opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Product Manager to join us on the exciting and rewarding path we are taking here at Castle Trust Bank. We pride ourselves in being a fintech challenger bank, providing specialist property mortgages, retail finance lending and savings accounts to a variety of customers.

Joining the Technology function, you will be responsible for and own the product planning and execution of technology change throughout the product lifecycle within our point-of-sale retail finance business, Omni Capital. This will include gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. You will help your customers develop breakthrough FinTech features and will be able to apply your strengths by creating compelling proposals based on the latest technology. Acting as the conduit between the business line and technology team, you will collaborate with research, design, data, engineering and the wider product discipline to help inform and guide product and feature development.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that an appropriate product Strategy and roadmap is in place to guarantee that the product supports the company\’s overall strategy and goals. If you\’re keen to accelerate your career in a hands-on role that encompasses ownership, autonomy and exciting product development, this could be the role for you.

This role will benefit a hybrid working arrangement, to be based between our Basingstoke office 3 days a week and working the rest of the week from home.

Responsibilities

What we are looking for in you β€”

What we are looking for in you… What is important to us is that you are an experienced Product Manager with an understanding of the consumer credit/retail finance intermediary market. If you have experience working in a payments environment (such as credit cards, innovative payment channels, wholesale and retail payments, instant payments) or specifically retail finance products (Buy Now Pay Later), this would be highly advantageous. Considering the nature of the role, you will need to be comfortable facilitating cross-functional working groups to model business scenarios and operational business processes, to understand the challenges and opportunities within large and complex change initiatives. You will need a good understanding of financial services products and providers, as well as the regulatory framework and requirements.

What is equally important is that you are an effective communicator with the ability to engage and influence people at all levels within the organisation. You will need to be skilled at analysis, with the ability to pay meticulous attention to detail, innovating and generating ideas and challenging the status quo. You will need to be a strong problem solver, with the ability to work well both autonomously and as part of a team to be successful in this environment.

What\\\’s in it for you

As well as a competitive salary, we offer an annual performance related bonus (up to 10% of base salary) based on individual and company performance. In addition, a generous contributory pension scheme through Hargreaves Lansdown, life assurance, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays on top) with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days (terms apply). In addition, you will receive an extra day paid annual leave for Volunteering.

Wellbeing is also high on our agenda, and we offer healthcare benefits through Equipsme. In addition, all colleagues have free access to TELUS Health EAP to support their health and wellbeing. We also offer free eye test vouchers and discounted gym membership, and if that\’s not enough, we also offer season ticket travel loans (if applicable).
