Our client is a growing, ambitious charity committed to improving the lives of people aged 50+ across our coastal and rural communities. After a period of exciting development, we are looking for an outstanding Chief Executive to build on our success, secure our financial sustainability, and drive the next phase of innovation.
We exist to improve the lives of people aged 50 and above β particularly the most vulnerable β by developing and delivering services that add years to life and quality to years. As our communities age dramatically over the coming decades, the role the charity will be more vital than ever.
As the CEO, you will have a dual focus:
- Consolidating our growth by ensuring the stability and sustainability of our services
- Developing new, innovative services that meet emerging needs and help our communities thrive
You will work alongside a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, build strong partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector organisations, and represent the organisation at local, regional, and national levels.

- Infrastructure and Resources Management
The Candidate
- Degree or equivalent; Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Commitment to the organisations core values: respect, anti-oppression, partnership working, community focus
- At least 2 yearsβ senior management experience (voluntary, business or statutory sector); Budget management; Team leadership; Quality assurance; HR and Health & Safety compliance
- Organisational reputation management; Fundraising and tendering principles; Safeguarding and professional boundaries; Management accounting; Partnership working
- Skilled communicator; Reflective listener; Assertive but not aggressive; Partnership builder; Respectful of staff and volunteers
- Understanding of Charity Law and the role of Trustees; Local demographic understanding
- Senior management in voluntary/social enterprise sector; Experience of fundraising and project monitoring
- Track record of promoting anti-oppressive practices
