Do you enjoy working outdoors, love being surrounded by nature, and take pride in hands-on, rewarding work? Castle Howard is currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our Tree Nursery team on a seasonal basis to help with general weeding and maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the preservation and growth of one of Yorkshire’s most iconic estates, while gaining experience in horticulture and working as part of a friendly, supportive team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Hand-weeding and maintaining young trees across the nursery area
- Supporting the team in ensuring the tree stock remains healthy and well-kept
- Assisting with general tidiness and upkeep of the nursery environment
- Following all health and safety guidelines
What We’re Looking For:
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work outdoors in all weathers
- Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual tasks
- A reliable team player who takes pride in their work
- Previous outdoor or horticultural experience is helpful, but not essential
