£13.25 per hour (30 hours a week over 4 days including weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis). We are seeking a dedicated Farm Shop Retail Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our busy farm shop. Based in the picturesque setting of Castle Howard Estate, this role is vital in ensuring our visitors enjoy high-quality service and products that reflect our commitment to excellence.

Key Deliverables:

  • Champion high quality, hospitality-style customer service throughout the Farm Shop.
  • Ensure all retail stock processes are adhered to minimise waste and stock loss.
  • Be responsible for delivering and maintaining the Farm Shop food safety system.
  • Ensure all operations conform to health and safety requirements.
  • Undertake duty management shifts as determined by the weekly rota.
  • Make recommendations for range improvements, increasing average transaction value and maximising profit contribution.
  • Develop, train and coach your team.
  • Ensure staff are briefed on new ranges and receive product knowledge training as appropriate.
  • Ensure all company policies are adhered to by yourself and your team.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail or hospitality management experience.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with EPOS systems.
