This role supports Visitor Operations at Castle Howard by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth administrative processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling phone and email enquiries.
  • Managing group bookings.
  • Supporting membership and sales activities.
  • Overseeing diary management and internal communications.
  • Reporting to the management team on operational performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative management of general enquiries through phone and email.
  • Processing group and private booking enquiries.
  • Supporting with processing bookings including taking payment and providing pre-visit information.
  • Membership management including DD renewals, database management, enquiries and booking assistance.
  • Assistance with Christmas ticket sales, membership bookings and upselling of add-on activities including Father Christmas and Afternoon Tea.
  • Communication support including producing a daily briefing document for the attraction and ensuring information is correct and shared with relevant internal teams.
  • Relief Duty Management of the attraction where required.

Person Specification:

  • Experience of working with email, Microsoft products and on the telephone.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic manner.
  • An organised approach to work and ability to work confidently on own initiative.
  • Willingness to work unsociable hours (including weekends and Christmas) to support the business.
  • Flexible approach.
  • Confidentiality.
  • Calm under pressure, resilient and solutions focused.
