The Castle Hotel Windsor is a landmark hotel on Windsor High Street, directly opposite Windsor Castle and at the heart of the town’s historic and royal setting. About the role

Working with the Restaurant General Manager, you will have the opportunity to take Pennington’s bar team through the opening of the restaurant and bar, guiding and coaching throughout the pre‑opening phase. From the opening, the Bar Manager will lead by example supporting the bar team and working with all departments within the Restaurant and Bar. Your guidance and training will help us to realise our goal of creating an approachable but fantastic cocktail experience that Windsor residents and tourists as well as hotel guests will enjoy.

  • A minimum of 12 months experience as Head Bartender / Bar Manager in a similar fast paced environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and passionate about cocktails, spirits, beers and wine
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional hospitality
  • Demonstrable experience managing a small team
  • Able to effectively manage and delegate tasks to team members
  • Able to work under pressure and multi‑task particularly during peak hours and extended periods of increased business
  • Experience of training staff in areas of beverage service and drink making
  • Good knowledge of H&S, Food Hygiene
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Personal Licence holder
