About the Role
We are seeking a committed and skilled Academic Interventions Support Assistant to deliver targeted literacy and numeracy intervention sessions for pupils with SEND. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping learners close gaps, build confidence, and make strong academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy intervention sessions to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Work with small groups and individual pupils, tailoring support to each learner’s needs.
- Track progress closely, recording outcomes to inform teaching practice.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to contribute to high quality provision across the school.
- Participate in full training for structured phonics and numeracy intervention programmes.
Required Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade B/6 or above.
- Proven experience working with SEND pupils.
- Commitment to learning and delivering structured phonics and numeracy intervention programmes (full training provided).
- Subject to satisfactory pre-employment clearances including a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
