The Mechanical Fitter will assemble machined and bought-in parts to construct pneumatic regulators.

Responsibilities:

• Hydrostatic and function testing and certification of pressure regulators and control valves to agreed standards.
• Assembly of machined components and pressure setting to complete configuration of pneumatic regulators.
• Final machining on manual/CNC lathes and lapping of assembled trim.
• Machining one-off and complex components to customer specifications used in the production of valves and regulators.
• Use of a wide range of measuring equipment to check components.
• Routine machine maintenance.
• Experience of machining various metals.

Minimum Qualifications, Training, and Experience Required:

• Ideally qualified HNC/HND or higher in mechanical engineering or machining.
• Not less than 2 years hands-on assembly experience in a manufacturing workshop.
• A comprehensive understanding of materials handling including crane driving and slinging.
