Junior Quality Engineer in London

Overview An established manufacturing business is seeking a Junior Quality Engineer to support quality and inspection activities across production. This role is ideal for someone with around 1 year\’s experience in an aerospace or precision engineering environment who is looking to develop a long-term career in quality. You will work closely with experienced quality professionals and gain exposure to inspection, quality documentation, and aerospace quality standards. Location: Hayes, England, United Kingdom.Responsibilities Carry out dimensional inspection of aerospace componentsInspect components against 2D engineering drawings and work instructionsUse hand-held measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and gaugesSupport first-off and in-process inspectionsAssist with completion of quality and inspection reportsSupport final inspection activities prior to despatchHelp maintain calibration and control of inspection equipmentAssist with housekeeping, 5S, and quality compliance activitiesSupport continuous improvement and quality initiativesExperience & Skills Required Around 12 months\’ experience in a quality or inspection role within aerospace, or precision engineering / manufacturingAbility to read and understand 2D engineering drawingsBasic understanding of tolerances and inspection principlesExperience using hand-held measuring equipmentGood attention to detail and a quality-focused mindsetWillingness to learn and develop within a quality engineering functionDesirable (Not Essential) Exposure to aerospace quality standards (e.g. AS9100 / ISO9001)Basic knowledge of GD&TAny exposure to FAIRs, first-offs, or SPCCMM awareness or trainingPersonal Attributes Positive and proactive attitudeReliable, methodical, and eager to learnComfortable working in a production environmentGood communication and teamwork skillsWorking Hours 37.5 hours per weekMonday to Friday, 07:00 – 15:00Employment details Seniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: TemporaryJob function: ManufacturingIndustries: Manufacturing
