Head of Engineering

Are you an experienced engineering leader looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a Head of Engineering to drive innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for overseeing product design, development, and manufacturing processes, while leading a team of engineers to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product development engineers.
2. Drive engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.
3. Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
4. Oversee product design and development, ensuring compliance with certification and regulatory standards.
5. Implement Design for Manufacture methodology and manage engineering change control.
6. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
7. Ensure robust process control and quality assurance systems are in place.
8. Lead engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
9. Work with global engineering teams to ensure compliance with international standards.
10. Provide technical expertise and support to the wider business.

Key Requirements

1. Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).
2. Proven experience leading engineering teams within a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong background in both design engineering and process engineering.
4. Track record of delivering engineering projects on time and within budget.
5. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
6. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
