We have flexible day to day opportunities available from September, with many leading to long term and permanent roles.

About the role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support primary aged pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping them to engage with learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential. You may be working with:

  • Pupils requiring additional academic support
  • Children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Small intervention groups
  • Whole class support alongside the classroom teacher

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils on a one to one basis and in small groups
  • Assisting teachers to deliver engaging lessons
  • Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and participation
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
  • Helping to maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Promoting independence and positive behaviour throughout the school day
