A well-established business based in York are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their friendly and dynamic team on a permanent/full time basis. On offer is a competitive salary of up to 27,000, along with a great benefits package including flexibility with working hours, holidays up to 33 days including Christmas shutdown.
As the Finance Assistant, your role will include (but not be limited to):
- Managing the sales ledger, including preparing and issuing customer invoices, administering credit control, and processing remittances.
- Overseeing the purchase ledger, ensuring supplier invoices are processed and coded in line with internal procedures.
- Monitoring aged debtor and creditor accounts, carrying out reconciliations and chasing outstanding balances where required.
- Investigating and resolving invoice and statement queries from suppliers and customers.
- Posting and allocating bank transactions, initiating payments through online banking systems, and supporting cashflow processes.
- Producing ad hoc reports and supporting internal management reporting as needed.
- Assisting with general administrative and finance support, including ordering office supplies, filing, note-taking, and other ad hoc duties.
To be successful in this Finance Assistant position, you should ideally have:
