Are you a qualified Primary Teacher who enjoys working in Key Stage 1 and making a real impact in Year 1? Castle Education is working closely with Primary schools across Scarborough through the Scarborough CCS framework. We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable Year 1 Supply Teachers to support schools with day-to-day cover. This role is ideal for teachers looking for flexibility, regular local work, or a better work-life balance, without the pressure of planning and marking.

The role:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons set by the school.
  • Create a positive, engaging and structured classroom environment.
  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Support pupils with their learning and development.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
  • Provide brief handover feedback to school staff at the end of the day.

You can choose the days you work and accept bookings that fit your availability.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Recent experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1.
  • Confidence adapting quickly to new classrooms.
  • A calm, professional and flexible approach.
  • A genuine passion for early primary education.
