Job Opportunity: Specification Technologist

Are you experienced in food or retail and thrive in a fast-paced environment? We have an excellent opportunity for an Specification Technologist to join our established food manufacturing client based at their site in North Yorkshire. This is a 12-month FTC position, working as part of the technical team on-site.

Responsibilities:

1. Preparing, managing, and updating product specifications and packaging controls.
2. Ensuring all packaging and labelling comply with legal and customer standards.
3. Collaborating with the Technical Services Manager to maintain systems related to product specifications.
4. Working closely with customers to meet their specifications.
5. Liaising with customers, governing bodies, and internal teams to ensure compliance with specifications.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in customer specifications, ideally within food or retail sectors.
• Strong understanding of BRC standards, retailer codes of practice, and legal requirements for food packaging and labelling.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This role offers an attractive salary of £34,500, working Monday to Friday, starting in November 2024. The position is accessible from Malton, York, Scarborough, Driffield, Thirsk, and surrounding areas.
