A successful manufacturing business in Hull is looking to appoint a Senior Export Coordinator, offering a salary of £28,000 to £30,000 and full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00. The Role

  • You will act as the central link between sales, production, logistics and customers, ensuring everything runs smoothly from order to delivery.
  • Order Management
    • Processing UK and international orders accurately and efficiently
    • Reviewing specifications, pricing and required documentation
    • Preparing compliant export paperwork, including invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin
    • Processing purchase orders from suppliers
  • Production Coordination
    • Monitoring customer demand and internal lead times
    • Communicating production updates to customers
    • Escalating delays and supporting timely resolution
  • Shipments and Logistics
    • Liaising with shipping carriers and freight forwarders
    • Tracking shipments and resolving delays
    • Preparing customs documentation and ensuring compliance with import and export regulations
  • Customer Communication
    • Acting as a key point of contact for customer queries and updates
    • Providing proactive communication regarding order status
    • Handling feedback and resolving issues in a professional manner
  • Sales and Office Support
    • Preparing quotes, proposals and sales documentation
    • Supporting office operations, including greeting visitors and handling calls

About You

  • At least 2 to 3 years’ experience in sales administration or customer service within a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Exposure to export processes or international orders would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to understand customer requirements
  • A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
  • Confidence communicating across departments, including production and logistics
  • A resilient mindset with the ability to manage changing priorities
