A well-established and leading manufacturing company based in the Scarborough area are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join the business. In this position, you will be part of an autonomous and proactive engineering team.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
- Carrying out reactive and proactive maintenance of site machinery, equipment, and systems to minimise downtime, optimise performance and maximise safety.
- Supporting the maintenance manager and ensuring that good 5S standards are maintained in all maintenance activities.
- Maintaining site facilities and daily completion of the Engineering work log and using CMMS.
- Ensuring work orders are completed to a high standard within the required time scale.
- Carrying out PPM work in accordance to the monthly schedule.
- Maintaining high standards of Good Manufacturing Practice.
- Working within all Technical, Health and Safety and Hygiene procedures at all times.
- Participating with ongoing continuous improvement projects.

I am really keen to see your CV if you are a time served Maintenance Engineer, qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical, BTEC level 3 in engineering) and have experience in both Mechanical and Electrical with an understanding of basic electrical knowledge. You should have awareness and understanding of key legislative and safety requirements within the engineering field and the ability to work well under pressure and be assertive when making decisions to keep things moving smoothly. Ideally, you will like to work at speed and be able to think on your feet and be a creative and diligent Maintenance Engineer.
This role is Monday to Friday days only role with a competitive salary.
