Castle Employment Group is working with a well-established manufacturer in North Yorkshire to recruit a Quality Inspector/Production Quality Engineer to join our client’s well-established machine shop team . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to play a key role in ensuring product quality and safety in a fast-paced, process-driven environment. What You\’ll Be Doing: Carry out first-off, batch, final, and roaming inspections. Interpret and work with technical drawings and measurement equipment. Identify non-conformances, recommend corrective actions, and support problem-solving activities. Collaborate with the Engineering department to drive quality improvements. Provide training and support to colleagues on quality standards and procedures. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across production. Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements relevant to your role. Who We\’re Looking For: Previous experience in a quality or inspection role within manufacturing (machine shop experience advantageous). The ability to read and interpret engineering/technical drawings. A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. Confidence in working cross-functionally and suggesting improvements. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise across departments. A commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality standards.
