An established, family-run manufacturing company with over 40 years of success is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join their experienced team in the Whitby area.

This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role with an electrical bias, working in a fast-paced and supportive environment where reliability and initiative are key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair a range of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Carry out electrical fault-finding and installations
  • Support planned maintenance, project work and respond to breakdowns
  • Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
  • Rotating shift pattern earlies, days, nights on a Monday to Friday rotation
  • About You

  • Electrically apprentice-trained with recognised engineering qualifications
  • Minimum 12 months’ practical maintenance experience
  • Confident working with 3-phase systems up to 415V
  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic systems
  • Strong problem-solving, planning and communication skills
